WHERE BLOOD LIES

Q & A

Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?

Jack in The Shining. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?

I can’t tell you the bad ideas, too embarrassing. But to get past the bad ones, you just have to write them then throw it out.

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?

Not really. I’m new to the horror genre.

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?

I look through history as well as the depths of my own sick mind.

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?

I’d kill Nazis.

Who would be on your ultimate horror villain squad?

Chucky and Xenomorphs are all I need.

Lightning round: Freddy or Jason? Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft? Practical or CGI? Post Apocalypse or Pre Apocalypse?

Freddy. Stephen King. Practical. Post Apocalypse for sure.

How do you go about creating the props and sets for your film? How do you create objects that are relatable but unfamiliar?

I ask for help from my prop master duo Tammie and Tyler Patton. They’re way more creative and talented than I am at making props.

What scares you, and does it inspire your storytelling?

Human beings scare me. The evil inside our own minds.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favorite scary movie?’

The Shining or It.
