You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?
Bad ideas are often just good ideas in their gestational stage. You instinctively know if something’s not yet working, but if it’s worth working on. I keep the idea bouncing around in my head until it seems ready to commit to.
Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?
Yes, weirdos tend to stick together like magnets.
When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?
It’s always a mix of real life experiences and cinematic obsessions.
What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?
Ask if it was SAG.
