Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?
Veronica from mother!. Unruly earthly guests are the worst.

You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?
I usually like bouncing an idea around on other people until it turns into something worth making. In my opinion, great things often start from a bad idea. I had one about killer goats once, it might sound campy, but… goats have rectangular pupils… that’s already super creepy.

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?
I’m in the fan club for sure. Though I still feel like I’m earning my membership stripes.

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?
First, I’d watch everything made on the subject that I can get my hands on. Then from there it’s mostly stills, clips, and other images from further sources like art books and social media.

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?
Yikes. I’d probably die from a panic attack. I don’t mess with Jinns.

Who would be on your ultimate horror villain squad?
Princess and Daddy from Sean Byrne’s THE LOVED ONES, The Entity from IT FOLLOWS, and of course Pazuzu. Between the four of them, they’d be persistent enough to kill the victim and send their soul to eternal damnation just for good measure.

Lightning round: Freddy or Jason? Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft? Practical or CGI? Post Apocalypse or Pre Apocalypse?
Freddy. Stephen King. Practical. Post Apocalypse.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favorite scary movie?’
It changes so often. Right now, it’s HEREDITARY.
