Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?
Jigsaw from the Saw franchise. Now I’m not saying that I’m in the business of creating horrific torture machines to teach bad people lessons but I understand the motivation!

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?
Absolutely, my wife and I on average watch 2-3 new horrors every week. It’s such a rich genre and is constantly being reinvented.

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?
Anywhere. It’s certainly important to take inspiration from films that you’re a fan of but life offers many opportunities to inspire. Reading, for me, is a great way to kickstart the imagination and see what sticks.

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?
I would try and strike up a friendship with Sebastian, for self preservation purposes of course! A killer like him would surely need help every now and then in procuring materials for his ‘hobby’ without raising suspicion from the outside world.

Who would be on your ultimate horror villain squad?
If the world needed saving from something unspeakable and it’s an Evil Avengers type of affair?
Pennywise, Jason Voorhees, Dracula, Gremlins and The Thing.
Lightning round: Freddy or Jason? Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft? Practical or CGI? Post Apocalypse or Pre Apocalypse?
Stephen King. Practical.
Post Apocalypse.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favourite scary movie?’
The Ring. Gore Verbinski delivered a hell of a remake and that shot where Samara actually crawls out from the TV? Chilling!
