Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?

I’m in the grey area between Norman’s mother and Grandpa from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?

The good ones always require some pain. Cigarette burns work. Papercuts can come through in a pinch. I used to bang my head against the wall, but developed too much of a tolerance.

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?

No, not really. Is that an invitation?

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?

Divination, mostly.

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?

Find a self-help book, probably.

Who would be on your ultimate horror villain squad?

Just give me the guy in the bear suit from The Shining.

Lightning round: Freddy or Jason? Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft? Practical or CGI? Post Apocalypse or Pre Apocalypse?

Michael. King. Practical. Pre.

What scares you, and does it inspire your storytelling?

I can’t let that be public knowledge.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favourite scary movie?’

Romero’s Martin.
