SPIRIT #1

Q & A

Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?

Depending on the day, I relate to either main characters in POSSESSION, or sometimes the monster as well.

You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?

I get past my bad ideas by ruthlessly workshopping them with trusted friends and advisors.

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?

Definitely -- especially in South Florida, where we have a great little horror community.

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?

My personal experiences, relationships, music, youtube, photography, books

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?

I would definitely go looking for the ghost.

How do you go about creating the props and sets for your film? How do you create objects that are relatable but unfamiliar?

I look for inspiration in the real world -- the ghost in my film is inspired by masks that dental students train on... I thought it looked really unsettling, and that a ghost might look that way.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favourite scary movie?’

Lake Mungo !!
