Q & A

Name a Horror character you relate to on a spiritual/personal level?

The Blair Witch Project. I’d kill those kids too. Or Natalie Portman from “Black Swan”

You’ve gotta go through some bad ideas to get to the good ones. Tell us one of your bad ideas. How do you get past the bad ones to find your spark?

Whenever we get stuck we try to come up with bad ideas on purpose. More often than not, our good ideas started as bad ideas.

Do you consider yourself part of a horror community?

We’re part of a group of horror directors. It’s a great source of support during writing.

When you’re building the world of your film, where do you look for inspiration?

Weirdly enough, trailers.

What would you do if you woke up inside of your film?

Sacrifice my family and run.

Who would be on your ultimate horror villain squad?

The mom from “Get Out”, Carrie, and the bird that drops blood into Brendan Gleeson’s eye in “28 days later”.

Lightning round: Freddy or Jason? Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft? Practical or CGI? Post Apocalypse or Pre Apocalypse?

Jason. Stephen King. Practical. Post Apocalypse.

What scares you, and does it inspire your storytelling?

Making a shitty movie. Absolutely.

And finally, Ghostface would like to know ‘What’s your favourite scary movie?’

Cabin in the woods is great.
